Description
Old Japanese Farmhouse
This particularly beautiful image was taken in Iwaki, Fukushima Japan with a Leica M6 rangefinder camera using a 35mm Summicron lens on Kodak Tri-X 400 film. Both the negative and the print were developed in my darkroom.
There aren’t many of these old type of traditional Japanese houses left. In fact, I recently drove by it to take another photo and it has changed significantly since my last visit with plastic sheeting was added to the side.
On this particular print I think both the matt and warmtone glossy versions look equally nice.
